LAILA POZZO
PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER

Laila Pozzo, photographer, graduated in Architecture from Politecnico di Milano. She studied with Giuliana Traverso and worked as an assistant with important photographers such as Douglas Kirkland, Sarah Moon and Joyce Tenneson. She was selected at 5th Biennial of Young Artists from Mediterranean Europe – Marseille 1990. She has also participated in many exhibitions, both solo and collective. Among her awards, the most remarkable are “Le Logge” at Toscana Foto Festival (best portfolio) and “Lomographic World League”. In 2019 she won the “Premio alla carriera alla miglior fotografa donna” at the International Trophy of Photography in Benevento.
Her pictures are portraits of the leading figures of industry as well as reportages from the biggest international companies. She has collaborated with some of the most important Italian publications: Arbiter, Arte, Capital, Cartier Art, Class, E-il mensile, Gentleman, Glamour, How to spend it, Interview, Monsieur, Uomo Vogue e Vanity Fair.
She is very much into art and cinema and in 2014 she started her project www.breakaleg.it, showing her peculiar view on theatre and actors.
